The highly polar GC Phase BPX90 shows a good stability at a temperature limit of 280 °C. Different to "normal" phases, the BPX90 doesn't seperate compounds according to their boiling point but according to their polarity. This means that double-bonded compounds experience a πi-πi interaction and are espcecially retarded. Compared to medium polare columns, the selectivity differs specifically.
It can be expected that this phase seperates many compounds differently to what is commonly known which means that the BPX90 can probably solve many individual seperation problems.
